On January 23, the inauguration ceremony of the international master's in mathematics was held at the National Higher Institute of Mathematics in Algiers.
This project, launched by the "International Master in Mathematics" association, offers a two-year programme to students from across Africa, delivered by an international teaching team.
CIMPA supports this initiative and was pleased to be represented by its director, Christophe Ritzenthaler, at the event. He was accompanied by Sorin Dumitrescu, head of the M2 programme at the mathematics department of Université Côte d'Azur, who discussed the possibility of a joint degree with the institute's management.
