New programme
The "Pays du Sud" chair at CIRM (Marseille, France) is a fantastic opportunity for a researcher affiliated to a university or research institute in Africa to collaborate with a researcher from a French institution (University/CNRS)!
Together, they will work on an exciting research project and organise activities around a specific theme.
Lasting between one and two months, this chair will enable high-quality scientific activities to be developed at CIRM, encouraging creativity and scientific immersion.
Events organised during this period include:
- A 5-day research school promoting diversity and inclusion, with courses taught by experts. It will focus particularly on young people from countries in the South, in order to encourage future collaborations.
- A workshop, with lectures and mini-projects, bringing together mathematicians from Europe and Africa for presentations and informal discussions.
- One or two research residencies bringing together people working on a topical subject for 15 days.
Three calls for CIMPA-Fellowships will be opened in April 2024, integrating the laureates into the Chair programme.
Deadline: 1 February 2024
