The modern Statistics and Probability Theory are domains of mathematics that need to be developped in North African and other African countries, as well research in these fields as their teaching. In addition to theoretical aspects, stochastic and statistical modelling have very numerous applications in other sciences, in economics and and in socio-economics. This modelling is an important factor of developpement. The main objective of the Workshop is to promote research on multivariate stochastic and statistical modelling, by education of young researchers and their insertion into actual research problems in the field.

The topic of the workshop covers different contemporary approaches of modelling of complex dependence systems and their applications. These models and the analytical and algebraic tools they require, have been very intensely developed since 2000 and a need of a workshop on this topic is great.
