Open calls can be found by consulting the activity map below. The financial conditions are listed in the tabs for each centre below.
Applications must then be submitted via the application site before the deadline indicated on the calls page. You will be asked to provide
- an up-to-date CV highlighting the applicant's scientific training, in particular the courses taken at master's level and related to the theme of the stay (with detailed content and not just the title of the course), the subject of the master's or doctoral thesis or, if applicable, publications (with links to consult them) or any other relevant information to assess the applicant's ability to benefit from the activities during the programme.
- a letter of motivation. Any generic phrase such as ‘I have always loved mathematics’ or ‘this research stay will be a great help to me in my future career’ is a disservice to your application. On the contrary, concrete arguments showing your interest or the benefits you will derive from the stay will be appreciated.
- up to two letters of recommendation will be requested directly from referees. You will, of course, need to obtain these people's agreement beforehand.
- Depending on the type of stay, it may be necessary to include a research project. This will be specified if this is the case.
Applications are examined by the event organisers and you will be notified of the result by a letter from CIMPA in the weeks following the deadline.
Candidates are advised not to wait until the deadline to apply and to ask their referees to send their letter well before the application deadline.
