Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian geometry, and differential and algebraic topology, are among the most active research areas in the Maghreb. Maghrebian mathematicians interested in these topics have regrouped themselves under the informal “Groupement pour le dĂ©veloppement de la GĂ©omĂ©trie et la Topologie au Maghreb”, GGTM.

The main objective of the School is to provide lectures for students and young researchers in order to familiarize them with the concepts of stochastic calculus in finance. The professors will put the accent on the non-explored topics in mathematical finance (option assessments, risk measure, default risk, calibration, …).

The aim of this course is to provide participants with an introduction to and an overview to differential topology, differential geometry and computational geometry. We will give them the background required to begin research in these fields or at their interfaces.

For a long time, the Arithmetic, the Geometry and the Algebra have played and still play a great role in our life. The economic, social and cultural development of various civilizations was carried out thanks to the development of these three disciplines of Mathematics. Currently, electronic trade, transmissions, banking transactions, safety of the networks, safety of files and data bases, etc. are based on number theory, Geometry and Algebra through cryptography.

The control theory found its applications in various contexts of science and technology: the aerodynamics (parameter identification or optimal design), the economy, the dynamic of populations, and in every domain in which one should take an optimal decision according to a cost criterion. These phenomenon are governed by partial differential equations, as the Schrödinger equation, the wave equation, the heat equation, or networks of flexible strings and beams equations. The control in these systems can be distributed (the internal control in a spatial domain), point or boundary control.

The purpose of this school is to introduce young researchers to some of the most important areas of number theory where research is active and also includes applications such as cryptography. In particular, this CIMPA research school presents the state of research on the arithmetic of number fields which interests many researchers in Morocco and neighboring countries.

The main purpose of this school is to give to PhD students and to young researchers of the introductory courses on subjects using at the same time the differential geometry and the non- associative algebras. Besides, the program of this school will contain conferences of researchers specialists in these domains with the aim of showing to the participants some current subjects of researches in the themes of this school.

Linear Algebra and Operator Theory are powerful tools in the study of Quantum Mechanics. The main aim of this CIMPA research school is to introduce students, young researchers and all interested mathematicians having background in linear algebra and basic operator theory to the foundations of Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Information.
