This school focuses on modern statistical and data science methods to analyze and understand diseases. Topics include the identification of risk factors for a disease, its prevalence and incidence, statistical analysis of historical data, and prediction of its future spread. Organized by the Institute of Applied Statistics of the University of Burundi, this CIMPA School provides both theoretical foundations and practical applications of statistical techniques.

The school is intended for graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) and young researchers in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics of all levels. It will be dedicated to a wide range of themes on groups, Lie algebras, their representation theoretic aspects, and their applications in various fields in particular in quantization.

Ce projet d’Ecole CIMPA est destiné à introduire des cours sur les Equations aux Dérivées Partielles (EDP), exposer les méthodes numériques pour la résolution des EDP ainsi que la modélisation et la simulation de certains phénomènes à l’aide des EDP.
